Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Move Ph apps and website (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What the service is

Move is a technology platform that connects operators (licensed private-hire operators), drivers and riders so that chauffeur journeys can be booked, dispatched, tracked and paid for. Unless a booking says otherwise, the journey itself is provided by the operator who accepted the booking, using a licensed driver and vehicle; Move Ph does not itself carry passengers and is not a party to the contract between rider and operator. We are not responsible for financial transactions between users; the legal operator’s name, address, contact details and licence number are available on request in the case of a dispute.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or over and give accurate information. Keep your e-mail account secure: it is how you sign in. Do not share sign-in codes.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
• We may refuse, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or where required documents are missing or expired.

3. Drivers and operators

• You must hold, and keep valid, every licence, permit, insurance and vehicle approval the law requires for the work you do (for example a private-hire driver licence, vehicle licence, MOT, hire-and-reward insurance, and an operator licence for operators). Documents you upload must be genuine, readable and your own.
• Operators verify drivers’ documents. A document change on an approved vehicle or driver may put it back into review.
• You must follow the booking details, behave professionally and safely, keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy, and obey the law. Cash and card payments must be recorded truthfully in the app.
• Platform commission, fees, payouts and settlement rules are shown in the app and may change with notice.

4. Riders

• Give correct pickup and drop-off details and be ready at the agreed time. Waiting time, extra stops and tolls or parking may be charged as shown in the app.
• Cancellation and no-show charges follow the operator’s terms shown at booking.
• Treat the driver and vehicle with respect. We may stop you using the service if you do not.

5. Acceptable use

Do not: misuse the service or try to break into it; scrape data; contact users outside the app to avoid fees; share a passenger’s details or use them for any purpose other than the booking; upload false, stolen or unlawful material; harass anyone; or interfere with how the service works.

6. Your information

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. We may change or stop features, and may update these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by e-mail. Using the service after a change means you accept it.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of profit or business, or for the acts of drivers, operators or riders who are independent of us, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the amount of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you may also use your local courts.
